I was the type of girl who thought you should buy a ton of the cheapest makeup out there. NO. WRONG. I started buying makeup about 2 years ago and now I have like 3 makeup bags full of crap. Kidding. Well basically what I am saying is that you should research before you buy. Everytime.
Ladies: Go on a fake online shopping spree @ Sephora.com
Make a collage using PAINT of the products you liked with their prices next to them. One of mines is under. Make sure you read the reviews. They are always helpful.
Ive decided to start investing in good makeup. I went on YAHOOANSWERS and asked what their favorite products & tools are. Look at the long response by "grace..."
There she lists all of the basic products you should have. I suggest focusing on getting good brushes. And face products (foundation, concealer, highlighter, etc.) Eyes are different because you really need to find your COLORS. I suggest buying eye colors LAST. When you are ready for your eyeshadows and eyeliners go out and by a cheap kit (theres normally some on sale) with a huge variety of colors. Then throw a sleepover and test them out. You and your friends can find out what works best for you and then you can go buy the expensive stuff.
****BRANDS THAT NEVER FAIL****
MAC, NARS, Bare Escentuals, Covergirl (drugstore brand, ususally good)
Many women don't realize the importance of research in makeup. Dont underestimate!
As you can see, these are mainly tools, and face products. It is also important to get a makeup remover product, I choose one that was only $12!
So remember, always read reviews of products before you buy and look for FACE products first.

HEYYY. thanks for reading my blog. My name is "urban strutter" (stella).
I strongly believe that having good taste in clothes doesn't mean you spend all your money on it. I love basic colors in my outfits then adding a POP of color. My favorite item is a pair of grey uggs and a white winter coat. I love dark wash skinny jeans and all sweaters. <3.
